Creative Recovery Network
The Creative Recovery Network has for many years, helped communities following disasters, supporting them to recover and respond better through art and cultural programs. They collaborate with artists and the community in need, to facilitate recovery through creative experiences tailored to each need. The donation will go towards the ongoing development of their research, handbooks, podcasts and other resources which are free to access, and to continue their work in creative advocacy. They work closely to mentor and strategise creative recovery plans with disaster impacted communities across Australia.

Quilters Victoria
Quilters Victoria has been developing the Australian Quilt and Textile Collection (AQTC) since 2011, with the principle objective of capturing our cultural, artistic and social history through textiles. They acquire, preserve and provide opportunities for everyone to see quilts and to learn this skill. Each quilt reflects our history, through the stories woven and stitched into each work.
Regional Arts Victoria
bringing the joy of the arts – music, movement, the visual arts and performance – to young people in schools.
Regional Arts Victoria is an independent not-for-profit organisation which has been assisiting communities for over 35 years to make, participate in and experience creative activities. Our donation helped provide the students at Trentham Primary School with a creative learning experience, along with teachers notes through the annual YEAH! Young people + Education + Arts = Happiness fundraising campaign. These programs encourage young people to develop their creativity and enhance awareness and participation in the arts which is curated to support positive mental health and wellbeing, celebrating self-expression and learning with curiosity. These can be playful physical theatre workshops to a sketch comedy show with an environmentally friendly message, to creating live projection artworks with First Nations artists.

Art Club for Kids
For a year now, the Trentham Neighbourhood Centre has been providing a place for children to enjoy and learn art. Local artist/educator Penelope Cato runs classes for children from Prep to year 4 which explore different themes, new mediums and techniques, including textiles. Learning weaving, making pom poms and learning the art of zentangle are among the many activities they have learned. TEACS will be providing two sponsored places for children to attend who could not otherwise be able to participate.

Art and Craft Therapy Boxes
The Trentham Easter Art and Craft Show have put together inspiring art and craft activities suitable for Primary school aged students.
Creative activities have been shown to assist mental health in the short and longer time especially in managing anxiety and overwhelm.
